Kenyak was founded by Australian Pastry Chef Chris Greentree, aka Doc.Choc.
A career in percussion seemed a little too loud, leading him to pursue fine dining at Restaurant Orana in Adelaide. Covid came, and Chris started making chocolates in his living room and selling them to pay the rent.
Actually, he paid pasta to pay the rent, he made chocolates to feel a little joy for himself.
As the worst of covid settled, Chris found himself without any of the skills to scale his first business - so he went in search of them before eventually settling in Hobart.
It’s here that Kenyak was born, ten years after entering into the industry.
“Everything we do is about telling a story, and encouraging people to just sit in that for a moment. There’s such great beauty in realising a moment taking place right before your eyes. Take a breath, try one of our treats.

We work by hand with Chocolate from Felchlin. They've been making it in Switzerland for over 100 years. It is truly exceptional stuff. Kosher & Halal Certified too.
We choose to shell our Individual Chocolates in a 55% Dark and 38% Milk Chocolate respectively. With the odd touch of White or Gold Choc where the recipe calls for it

Tarkine Wilderness Honey from Blue Hills Honey. Sourced from hives placed deep in the Tarkine rainforests in NW Tasmania for extended periods of time. Bathed in the cleanest air in the world.
